RL Stine, birth name Robert Lawrence Stine was born in 8 October 1943 in Columbus, Ohio, US. Raised by his homemaker mother Anne and shipping clerk father Lewis Stine in the suburb of Columbus, Stine was inclined towards writing since his early age. He had commenced writing since the age of 9, more precisely when he found an old typewriter in the attic of his home. Started from the jokes and short stories, Stine gained more confident in scripting which led him to graduate from Ohio State University with a major in English. During his years in the university, he had also served as the editor for the magazine The Sundial, a humor volume published by the OSU. RL Stine is married to his ladylove Jane Waldhorn. The couple got married in 22 June 1969 and in 1980 their son Matthew, a renowned figure of musical industry, was born. Jane also had followed her husband’s footstep and had become writer and editor forming Parachute Press in 1983 in association with Joan Waricha.
